Hemp seed oil has a number of health benefits and its products as well as its raw forms are used to provide many essential components to the body. If the body is deprived of any of these ingredients serious problems may develop.
Hemp Oil Benefits for Skin The hemp oil contains a number of fatty acids which are very healthy for your skin. These fatty acids nourish and moisturize your skin in the right manner and sufficient amount. There are many skin products like face creams and body creams which have hemp oil as the main ingredient. This is because it is herbal and has almost no side effects. A skin massage with only hemp oil, would give you healthy and rich skin which looks very young and held. If you are a regular user of hemp oil products for the natural skin care, it acts as an anti-aging benefit too. Hemp oil prevents skin disorders like psoriasis, eczema, acne and dry skin.
Hemp Oil Benefits for Hair There are many hair health benefits of hemp oil as well. Many non-commercial and herbal hair products like shampoos, hair oils, conditioners, etc. are made by using hemp oil. Like the skin care, massages with hemp oil products can improve blood circulation in the head and the brain. Washing hair with hemp oil shampoos and conditioners, can thicken the hair texture and keep the scalp away from dandruff. Thus hemp oil is very beneficial for your hair care as well. Hemp oil is also known to reduce loss of hair and scalp infections and problems.
Alpha-Linolenic Acid Hemp oil is an abundant source of alpha-linolenic acid. Alpha-linolenic acid is an omega-3 fatty acid that is essential to proper organ function. It is similar to the omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oil, and can help prevent heart disease, arthritis and depression, according to the University of Maryland Medical Center. It can also help reducing low density lipoprotein cholesterol, the ""bad"" cholesterol that clogs arteries.
Hemp oil is also rich in ""super"" polyunsaturated fatty acids, most notably gamma-linolenic acid and stearidonic acid. Although these are not essential fatty acids, they may help reduce the symptoms of atopic dermatitis and other skin conditions. However, the amount of these non-essential fatty acids varies according to the quality of the hemp plant the acids were derived from.
Our Product: Our hemp oil is made from the seeds of 100% organic Hemp Sativa L (Hemp). The oil is generated using a unique method designed to preserve as much as possible the health benefits of the oil, primarily the Omega 3 and 6 unsaturated fatty acids. It also allows for the development of a pleasant taste.
To protect these fatty acids from oxidation during oil extraction we added an anti-oxidant during the generation of the oil called quercetin. This natural biflavanoid supplement is found in many plants and foods, such as red wine, onions, green tea, apples and berries.
Quercetin has a strong antioxidant and also anti-inflammatory effects. Some evidence support the notion that consuming this supplement, taken by mouth seems to reduce pain and improve quality of life.
Omega 6 and Omega 3 fatty acids are 2 different classes of polyunsaturated fats. They are both important, because they are made into powerful regulatory hormones. Omega 6 fats are primarily converted into a range of pro- inflammatory hormones and omega 3 into anti-inflammatory hormones.
Importantly, we need a balance between these two fatty acids. Due to the abundance of omega 6 in our diets from, and a lack of food sources of omega 3, a regular diet has a nutritional imbalance. An ideal ratio is about 4:1 of omega 6 to omega 3. For example, the standard American diet gives an unhealthy 20:1 ratio of omega 6 to 3. As a result an inflammation is likely to develop because the anti-inflammatory omega 3 fats are not consumed sufficiently.
Chemical analysis of our oil indicates that the final product contains 18.4% (18.4 grams per 100 ml oil) alpha linoleic acid; a type of omega 3 fatty acid, and 52.9% linoleic acid; a type of omega 6 fatty acid. Our oil also contains 3% stearidonic fatty acid (omega 3). Therefore our oil has a very good ratio between Omega 6 and Omega 3 making it highly appropriate ànd valuable as a food supplement.
One teaspoon of our hemp seed oil provides ~0.9 gram of alpha linoleic acid. This amount is the recommended daily dose for humans aged 4 and above according to the World Health Organization. It recommends a daily ALA intake of 0.8-1.1 grams. Our oil is also an excellent addition to salad dishes by itself or with olive oil.
These products are manufactured by ""Mordovskie penkozavody"" LLC Insarsky District in the Republic of Mordovia, the leading domestic producer of products from southern and central Russian varieties of technical hemp.
